New to yoga



 

Yoga Exploration:

If you are new to yoga we suggest you attend our weekly Yoga Exploration Class. This is a very basic level yoga class introducing the main yoga postures (Asanas), the flow of the breath, basic yoga philosophy and relaxation. Here, you will discover what yoga is all about. This class prepares you for any of our other classes.

Drop-In Classes:

All of our classes are available on a drop-in basis, pre-booking is not necessary.

Getting Ready:

  • Please arrive 20 minutes early for class to register
  • If you have any physical problems or health concerns, be sure to inform the teacher before the class begins.
  • Never push yourself into a posture for which you are not ready, learn to work with intelligence and patience.
  • Never compare your practice with others. Learn to acknowledge and respect your own body and its limitations.
  • The studio is fully equipped with mats and props, feel free to bring your own.
  • Wear comfortable clothing such as shorts and a T-shirt.
  • No strong fragrances please. 
  • Avoid eating 2-3 hours before class as it is best to practice yoga on an empty stomach.
  • If you would like to take a shower after the class, bring your own towel.
  • If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask your teacher!
