NOCH PLÄTZE FREI!!
An Integrated Approach with Patrick Oancia May 16 to 19, 2012
Yoga philosophy can be interpreted as a fusion of an integrated understanding of contemporary life, freedom from fear and social regimentation. An individual’s maximum potential lies in an ability to re-discover the intelligence that we call intuition and use it as a compass to navigate freely through everyday life. One of the main purposes of yoga is to first balance and optimize health and well being in order to raise this intuition.
In his teaching approach, Patrick aims to consolidate the integrated aspects of yoga to raise awareness and promote sensitivity in all aspects of life. The objective is to help ensure that we are engaged in a life-long, continually evolving and essentially healthy yoga experience.
Sessions open to all levels and backgrounds, including teachers, intermediate and advanced practitioners. Also recommended for those who regularly practice any modern hatha yoga traditions including Ashtanga, Jivamukti, Iyengar, Ishta, Sivananda, Anusara etc.
This week of teaching will combine practical application with lectures on the interface between human anatomy & physiology, psychology and the subtle energy system.

Friday Evening- Yoga Focus: Yin Bliss (2.5 hours) Explore a more yin yoga style contemplative approach to hip opening and forward bending asana. In this class students will learn how to work deeper into the lower back and hips working with more passive dynamics in releasing via connective tissue and ligaments as opposed to focusing only on stretching the muscles. Patrick will also emphasize on how to relax the breathing so as to support a relaxed diaphragm. This aids in a deeper opening, and can also prepare students for the alternative in practicing more actively.
Saturday Morning- YogaJaya Master Class (2 Hours) This class will combine dynamic sequencing with wall work with to offer different perspectives on deepening yoga practice through grace, biomechanics, momentum, gravity and directional energy.
Pranayama/ Meditation: Morning practice immersion (90 minutes each morning) Deeper understanding of the benefits of yoga comes from a regular daily practice. The particular quality of morning practice can tone and prepare our bodies and mind for the course of each and everyday. This immersion will focus on pranayama (breathing practices) and guided meditation utilizing effective techniques in and easy-to-understand way. Although consecutive daily attendance is strongly recommended to best assimilate the depth of the experience, each day can be attended separately.
